Lessons at all prices

I take lessons with two different English teachers, one who lives in the United States and another in Scotland. It’s very interesting to speak to the two of them because in addition to learning English, I learn about their culture (and their accent!)

At Learnissimo, each teacher decides on the price of his or her lessons (duration of a lesson: 30 minutes, 1 credit = 1€). Some teachers even give you a discount on the price of the first lesson you do with them. In this way you are sure of finding a teacher adapted to your needs but also to your wallet!

Learning by videoconference, in the comfort of your home!

”When I have to travel to get to my lesson, it costs money and I lose time...”

With Learnissimo, neither you nor your teacher need to travel! Do your lesson at home or at your workplace : the lesson takes place live by videoconference in the internal classrooms of the Learnissimo site. You converse one to one with your teacher by using your webcam equipped with a microphone. Our Flash videoconference technology gets past all firewalls and proxies! With no software to be downloaded! You must simply have Flash installed on your computer and be equipped with a high-speed Internet connection.

Free access to a multimedia library

”Doing long distance conversation classes, I get the idea, but what will we talk about?”

You have free access to Learnissimo’s rich multimedia library containing press articles, video excerpts and images for discussion (organised by theme and difficulty level) which you can use during your lesson.

Secure payment / trust service provider

”OK, so I do lessons with a teacher who lives 3000 km away, but how do I pay? Do I pay before or after the lesson ?”

On our secure payment site you purchase Learnissimo credits (1 credit = 1 euro), which enable you to book your lesson with your teacher. Learnissimo acts as a trust service provider: the teacher is only paid once the lesson is finished, if everything has gone well, otherwise, you get your credits back.

No commitment

“I’m free!”

With Learnissimo, you reserve and you pay according to the time used up, lesson by lesson. You therefore make no commitment, neither towards your teacher, nor in relation to the frequency or the number of the lessons you take. Put simply, if you want to stop taking lessons with your teacher, you just...don't reserve any more !
