Who are we ?

I am the co-founder and president of Learnissimo. I have been passionate about the Internet since the beginning and I am convinced that this new technology is in the process of revolutionising the way we learn and teach, particularly in the foreign languages domain. Having had the chance to live in New York for three years I realised that only regular practise of English with native speakers guarantees quick progression. So the idea of Learnissimo was born. I am 35 years and I am a graduate in HEC. I have a passion for music and I have two children.

I am the co-founder of Learnissimo. I am in charge of partnerships and international development in both the private and business sectors. I come from a family of teachers and I am used to the mobility and change that accompany a multilingual environment. I am a business graduate from Reims Management School and Middlesex University. I have 15 years of professional experience gained within foreign companies such as Rank Xerox, BP, SIX Telekurs, and NYSE Euronext. I have two daughters and I play tennis and football for my local teams.

Senior Lecturer at the Sorbonne University (Paris IV), I was for many years in charge of the teacher-training courses for the capes and agregation diplomas, which qualify for teaching both in secondary schools and in higher education. I am also an English-language learning textbook writer with the publishing house Hachette, for whom I have co-written numerous series for 11 to 18 year-olds, as well as teacher-training manuals. Parallel to these books, I have recently developed different types of computer-based learning materials, and at Learnissimo I am responsible for guaranteeing the compatibility between digital technology and fundamental language-learning needs.

I am a Tutor and Teaching Support Advisor at Learnissimo. I offer advice and support to other tutors concerning the technology used to deliver high quality lessons over the Internet together with best teaching practises. As with all Learnissimo tutors the most important qualifiction that I possess is that I am a native speaker of the language I teach. However, I have also given over 1200 English lessons online to over 15 different nationailities and I am published Language studies author with PUF (Presses Universitaires de France). I also have first hand experience of online learning from a students perspective as I have studied Spanish online for 3 years advancing from beginner to fluent and am currently studying to improve my French and Italian.

I am the Webmaster at Learnissimo. My preferred languages are of course HTML, CSS, PHP and SQL but I also speak English (graduate in Civilised Languages and Foreign cultures). With Learnissimo I am satisfying both my passion for information technology as well as for foreign languages. I am responsible for the daily management of the Learnissimo website and the ongoing IT developments. I am 25 years old and I am a fan of poker.
